How did you get into your sport?: I got into the sport 3 years ago after I started running to get fit and break a bad drinking and smoking habit.
The hardest thing about your sport: the Hardest part about trail running for me would be speed work. I’ll take hills any day.
What does your regular training week consist of?: Easy 10km Monday, speed workout 15km Tuesday, easy 10km Wednesday, hilly 20km Thursday, easy 10km Friday, hill/speed workout 15km Saturday, long run 30/40km Sunday
How do you keep motivated?: I stay motivated by drawing from past experiences and the results I can achieve when I put in the work. When it gets tough I remind myself it’s all for a reason and it’ll be worth it come race day.
