Switzerland Ironman June 24 – His Last Ironman
Campbell’s last Ironman is this Sunday in Zurich – he’s completing the hugely popular Switzerland Ironman. “(It’s) known the world over…in IM> circles, that is…for being a huge, full-on and massive event. Not because of the field size – Swiss IM will have about 1800 – but because it attracts literally tens and tens of thousands of spectators. Think Tour de France crowds lining the mountain climbs, and apparently that’s what’s in store for us. Wow, how cool is that going to be??” Then The Togs, Knicks & Runners Will Be Hung Up This is Campbell’s last Ironman, but I’m sure he’ll retain his great competitive spirit and keep up his fit and healthy lifestyle. “To put it simply this trip is a last hurrah at doing an Ironman (IM) distance triathlon. Each IM is a soul searching experience…and my soul just ain’t up to being stretched in that way (anymore).
So before it goes all limp and droopy…well, quit while you’re ahead.” All the best Campbell. And congratulations on a terrific career.
